Rosemary is fragrant herb with evergreen, needle-like leaves and white, pink, purple, or blue flowers. It is native to the Mediterranean region. Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) has been used in culinary applications since ancient times and reports on its antioxidant activity date back to the 1950s.

Rosemary can be grown in a wide range of environmental conditions. It can tolerate drought and frost conditions. Rosemary grows well in areas that has an average temperature ranges from 20 to 25oc, and receive above 500 mm average annual rainfall.

Since, plant is drought tolerant we decided to take cultivation trials in Aurangabad region of Maharashtra, India.
